Climate connections

Growing community resilience

in Nova Scotia/ Mi’kma’ki

A self-paced online course to learn about climate concerns and solutions. (Postcards) (10).png

Host your neighbours, start a conversation

The best time to talk and plan is BEFORE the power outage, flood, wildfire, or disruptions in our food supply chain. As a gesture of support, How We Thrive is offering hospitality micro-grants at $50 each to help cover refreshments at a neighbourhood conversation, and $200 for ongoing study groups.

Just use the short questionnaire to tell us what you plan to do and we’ll send you an etransfer. After the event, send us a photo and a brief description, for sharing on social media and inspiring others.

With thanks to the Rural Communities Foundation of NS and HalifACT!

Rethinking resilience

Online lunchtime conversations

Tuesdays at noon. May 21, 28, June 4, 11, 18, 25

Join us this spring as we explore resilience through the lens of nature, Indigenous knowledge, culture, the arts, or neuroscience, and suggest practical steps we can take in our lives and our communities. Each week a different guest will introduce a story, idea and/or practice that has been important for them. You will also have a chance to connect with others and explore your own questions and stories related to resilience.
